The Nova Atlantis Foundation welcomes students of (marine) biology, animal behaviour and other environmental studies to conduct a field internships at Pico.
Internships will be part of one of the ongoing research projects of the foundation. Mean work area: Photo ID, behaviour, social organisation, population, habitat-use, or DNA.

Students are welcome year-round and can be based in Santa Cruz das Ribeiras, on Pico Island. The Nova Atlantis Foundation has been cooperating with several Dutch and Portuguese Universities for student internships. Other international students are welcomed to apply as well.

Before you contact us be aware off the following regulations:

• Internships should be able to stay in the field for minimally 3 months
• We ask 250 EUR per month off each student to cover costs in the field such as fuel, insurances and other research material
• There are additional costs for food, housing and travel expenses
